#45 O' Start a Revolution

Posted by Lamont Cranston on Monday, November 22, 2010, In : Book & Movie Reviews

O! start a revolution, somebody!
not to get the money
but to lose it all forever
.

O! start a revolution, somebody!
not to install the working classes
but to abolish the working classes for over
and have a world of men.

#33 The Ashes of Worlds (book 7 of 7), a Review

Posted by Tarus on Wednesday, November 3, 2010, In : Book & Movie Reviews
[...so far]

For some time now I've been anxious to share with you (the avid readers of sci-fi) my thoughts on book 7 of 7, the Ashes of Worlds, as it is a very interesting and lively tale denoting the very best of human attributes. Kevin J. Anderson (KJA) is truly a master story teller; his tremendous talent proves a stunning testament to just how boundless the human imagination really is. I tell ya, it's quite a treat to witness someone in their element. Well, that's enough adulation for now....

The point is that the common people are no longer accustomed to thinking for themselves, even though they believe they are. Hyp...

#8 PowerPoints For Hollow Men

Posted by Lamont Cranston on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, In : Book & Movie Reviews

The Revolution will not come by PowerPoint. It will not begin at a workshop in one of a thousand hotels where bored delegates pin badges to their lapels and practice civil-society speak. PowerPoint is a power grab. there millions of slides may create as much poverty, insecurity and befuddlement as any militia or dictator. PowerPoint poses as dry objectivity in the face of corrupt violent politics, but it cleaves apart the political from the economic. By a curious alchemy, human life on the Po...
