In preparation for a much greater work ahead, I was doing some research and came across a very interesting article denoting the rising tensions between blacks and Latinos.
The Rainbow Coalition Evaporates, is the centerpiece article  for this blog entry located in the archives for easy downloading.

I've noticed that many Latinos prefer to gloss over the fact that their presence has indeed contributed to the complexity of inter-race-relations all around; and not necessarily for the better. Some would say that of us but truthfully, blacks have never failed to CHAMPION causes for both black and brown alike, and yet these actions have never been genuinely  reciprocated with the same fervor and enthusiasm on the part of  Latinos - to say the least. For example, the
NAACP and the Rainbow Coalition were both set up originally to advocate for the rights of black people. Now, they fight for people of color which includes the Latino and many of its members are even Caucasian. What Latino faction does this and has mass appeal with broad effect pointedly for the benefit of themselves & blacks? None!  In fact, it is because of their exclusivity that Latino groups have been largely successful in their endeavors. Only blacks are so blinded, so delusional, and so self-congratulatory with giving in wholly to the illusive myth of multiculturalism (without so much as a quid pro quo of course) that we are so anxious to sign everyone up. Can't we take a page out of the play books of others like the Latinos and the Jews?  And get this, I don't blame the Latino or the Jew, I blame us for not ensuring the checks-and-balances of the system.  Independently exclusive groups and organizations are not necessarily criminal. These groups acting in their own interest actually help to preserve a balanced equation - with some exception. They, however, generally keep each other accountable. Getting back to the issue, Haitians beg for TPS, and rightfully so given the dire circumstances of their countrymen to no avail. They are slightly more unified than say...Afro-Americans given their language but  are nevertheless, ultimately beset by the same kind of disunity and infighting the has brought whatever progress made by blacks of the Civil Rights Era to a grinding halt, which is actually going in reverse today. Those gains are steadily being gobbled back up by 1600 Pennsylvania Ave in collusion with corporate elites. Meanwhile, other Latino minority groups inside America (Florida - particularly) whose justification has long since passed, get to renew their "TEMPORARY" Protection Status time and time again. They have absolutely no incentive to lobby or advocate for the Haitian. They are not compelled by compunction or compassion. If you ask them for their thoughts on the matter (as I have), they will simply say,"That's unfortunate," and shrug their shoulders.

The best way to gauge how a particular group of people really views blacks here in America, is to see how they treat blacks or other  ethnic minorities
(usually non-European) back  home. In most Hispanic countries, blacks live with the feet of white Latinos on their necks. They are virtually invisible unless they've committed some crime.  Relegated  to the coastal areas away from the centers of power and progress, they are usually forgotten about unless some 55 year old  bloated, dingy-looking fat white guy (Latino, American, European, and in some cases...even black) ventures into these red-light districts hoping to explore more than just the scenery. My research on this continues, but there are written articles (in English & Spanish) as well as other informative video clips on this site that should peak your interest some. Stay tuned!
