Interracial Dating and It's Implications III
Interracial dating is an ideal that blacks across the globe can least afford presently. At first glance, this statement can seem quite primitive and maybe even xenophobic to some, but only because they have adamantly refused to read between the lines and admit the obvious: That there is strength in numbers and that failing to come together now, in such a time as this, will only facilitate our continued exploitation by various other ethnic groups making it ever more difficult for all of us to truly ascend from our collective plight. It will in fact, guarantee our eventual demise in the decades to come as a race of diminishing significance living on the fringes of society much like our brothers and sisters in Latin America who are altogether invisible and forgotten; there is already enough evidence out there denoting the declining earning potential for succeeding generations of African Americans regardless of intellectual capacity [Those numbers of course, far exceed the calculated losses that other ethnic groups will suffer resulting from this expanding economic crisis]. Understand, that every ethnic group enjoys the support of a solid base that is unquestionably and solely committed to its own survival far beyond the delusions of some united and egalitarian collection of various tribal factions – as if such a thing could ever be possible in an unforgiving and predatory capitalist society like ours. Only we blacks are so naïve, so self-congratulatory, and eager to forgo the necessary conventions of ensuring the safety of our own communal interest regarding socioeconomics. And in the most dire of circumstances where internal support will be the only recourse, I fear that in those critical moments, we will have been found wanting.
A glimpse at popular media and one can easily
survey that in the upper crust of Hollywood’s most bankable black box-office
stars, you find men and women chasing after every spectrum of the
rainbow for suitable marriage partners, save their own kind. Doubtless,
the black bourgeoisie will be up in arms carefully crafting their arguments on the moot point that color isn’t
important, but why do they insist on confining the matter to color when it’s about
so much more than that? It’s about the sensible and very necessary convergence of
the brightest minds in the African Diaspora for the benefit of her people; more
to the point, it’s about the viability of Africa’s questionable reemergence
from centuries-long abuse and mistreatment by those nations who are doggedly
determined to keep her mired in the notoriety of endless coups of tribalism goaded by clandestine entities of the West, that she may ever be despoiled of her mineral wealth and forever dependant. In the end, we marginalize
ourselves because we play the game, Monkey-See Monkey-Do too well: Our precious future i.e. black children and young adults incessantly
bombarded by shameless hate-filled propaganda emulate what they see on the big
and small screens and reproduce it in their local schools and communities. Present social conditions regarding blacks on this side of eternity will remain - if not, worsen - until a dreadful number of us learn to sincerely and passionately prefer our own kind. Too many you (blacks) are waiting for the perfect conditions under which to come on board. Reality Check: Such conditions, will never come about until we create them by sheer force of desire, will, and meaningful action; sometimes, grace must be extended to others who may seem undeserving even before the promise to live honorably can be reciprocated.
