If I told you this was only the beginning...

Would you believe me?  Blacks will feel it like no other. The hearts of men will be tested and so will their ability to organize and protect themselves.

My brother's keeper

Posted by Tarus on Thursday, September 24, 2009, In : Quotes & Proverbs
Such conditions show that the undeveloped Negro has been abandoned by those who should help. The educated white man, said an observer recently, differs from the "educated Negro" who so readily, forsakes the belated element of his race. When a white man sees persons of his own race tending downward to a level of disgrace he does not rest until he works out some plan to lift such unfortunates to higher ground; but the Negro forgets the delinquents of his race and goes his way to feather his own...

Tendencies of a Liberal (echos of Obama)

Posted by Lamont Cranston on Wednesday, September 23, 2009, In : Quotes & Proverbs

Now, I think the biggest problem with the white liberal in America, and perhaps the liberal [Obama] around the world, is that his primary task is to stop confrontation, stop conflicts, not to redress grievances, but to stop confrontation. And this is very clear, it must it must become very, very clear in all our minds. Because once we see what the primary task of the liberal is, then we can see the necessity of not wasting time with him. His primary role is to stop confrontation. Because the ...

Runnin by Tupac & Biggie

To: Blacks of  All Cultural Distinctions

Despite our linguistic and Religious differences, we are not enemies! I think our disunity presently is due more to class and education than anything else. Furthermore, the economic paradigm of Capitalism in this rapidly diminishing economy will pigeonhole us into a bottleneck forcing us to become bitter adversaries as we fight over the remaining jobs at half the pay like ravenous dogs! Better wake UP! Cuz, all we really got...is each other!

Warning: E...

Go beyond the limits of Conventional thinking

Posted by Tarus on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, In : Society
In an interview, Peter Joseph enlightens us to the possibilities of The Zeitgeist Movement and what it represents as we continue to experience the worst of this economy. The only real way to transform this world for the better is if all of us realize the limits of conventional thinking. My intense desire to do away with Capitalism goes far beyond my inherent passion for a more socialist system. Imagine a world where the amount of money no longer determines the value placed on life; or determi...

Love only love by Imaj

Posted by Tarus on Wednesday, September 9, 2009, In : Fav Music Selections
Some of you believe I'm too radical and to that I reply,"Well, that's because you're not radical enough and you don't know much about anything. Worst yet, the little you do know, does not even provoke within you any fury, much less any  significant action." In an Ideal world, there would be no need for radicals!

Think of it this way: Society rages because it has too! Wealth is too highly aggregated in the hands of a few. The system is broken...always was, always will be until we realize that ...

SinnerMan by Nina Simone

Posted by Tarus on Tuesday, September 8, 2009, In : Fav Music Selections
You're about to watch a very witty scene from the movie, The Thomas Crown Affair - one of my favorites. This song  by the way is incomparable and carries a great deal of significance.  It's singer-writer,  Nina Simone (a singer par excellence),  was a staunch advocate for Civil Rights. Passionate  songs like this inspired many to go beyond the confines of conventional thinking. A special tribute will have to be made in her honor at a later time. For now enjoy the video.

Perspectiva típica de una latina negra al Racismo?

Posted by Tarus on Sunday, September 6, 2009, In : En cuanto al Latino

Do you keep your ears to the Ground?

Posted by Tarus on Saturday, September 5, 2009, In : Xfiles
So few invest any real time in finding out what precisely is going on in the world today. If they do happen to watch the news, they default to the typical prime time Fox or CNN channels, which is on the side of Corporations. Most of the propaganda they spew out in the media is watered down to such a degree that it becomes an absolute travesty!  Readership of mainstream publication is at an all-time low anyway.  So it's near impossible to imagine any real Public outcry against the banksters!  ...

Moonlight by Katsuki Yukari

Posted by Tarus on Thursday, September 3, 2009, In : Fav Music Selections
This new category consisting of music videos will convey the sincere appreciation and sometimes, deep inner turmoil  I have regarding our shared-humanity in a way mere words cannot.

Incidentally, when I first heard this song I was immediately taken by it. The innocence in this burgeoning relationship between the two characters of this Japanese anime feature is endearing.

The Sistahs

Posted by Tarus on Wednesday, September 2, 2009, In : Society
Dawah is a trip! He may very well be a radical, but I can assure you this: His kind is in far greater need today than most of the self-centered black bourgeoisie. Anyway here he is...
